Yes! All your data stays on YOUR device using Apple's encrypted SwiftData framework. We never collect, store, or see your financial information. There's no account required, no analytics, and no tracking. Optional iCloud sync is end-to-end encrypted by Apple.
PayoffPilot uses the same standard amortization formulas used by banks and financial institutions. We calculate compound interest monthly and apply payments according to proven Snowball (smallest balance first) and Avalanche (highest APR first) methodologies. We've validated our calculations against other debt calculators and real-world scenarios.
The beta is completely free with all features unlocked - no catch! When we launch on the App Store, we'll offer a free tier (up to 5 debts) and a Pro version with unlimited debts. We're considering both one-time purchase ($15-20) and subscription options, and we'll ask beta testers for feedback on which they prefer.
Yes! Since all your data is stored locally on your device, PayoffPilot works completely offline. No internet connection required for any calculations, tracking, or features.
PayoffPilot requires iOS 17.0 or later and works on iPhone and iPad. It's built natively in SwiftUI for the best iOS experience. Android support may come in 2026 if there's demand.
