Big Beard Apps ("we," "us," or "our") built Feastmark as a personal recipe library app. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our app.

Information We Do Not Collect

Feastmark does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.

How the App Works

When you share a link to a recipe video or post, Feastmark sends that URL to our extraction server (api.feastmark.app) to retrieve recipe details such as the title, ingredients, and instructions. The following applies to this process:

• Only the URL you share is sent to our server.
• We do not log or store your IP address beyond what is necessary for the server to respond.
• Extracted recipe data is returned to your device and stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework.
• We do not retain your recipes on our servers after extraction is complete.

Data Stored on Your Device

All recipe data — including titles, ingredients, instructions, images, and collections — is stored locally on your device. This data does not leave your device except as described above (the source URL sent during extraction). It is never shared with third parties.

Third-Party Services

Our extraction server uses OpenAI's API to parse recipe content from raw text. The URL and page content of the shared link may be processed by OpenAI to extract recipe details. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this processing. We do not send any personal information to OpenAI.

We also query platform APIs (such as the YouTube Data API) to retrieve metadata for shared videos. These requests include only the video identifier, not any personal information.

Analytics

Feastmark does not use any third-party analytics services. We do not track how you use the app.

Children's Privacy

Feastmark is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
